Competition
At the close of this mine disaster, the Catholic Church from Salt Lake City sent down a priest to provide several masses and to execute the Catholic religious rites for the Hispanic miners. Please continue to pray that God would open the eyes of these families so they might see the truth.
Second meeting
We held a service on Sunday for the second time and had 20 people attend, PTL. Continue to pray as we continue to visit and invite people to these services.
First Formal Meeting
Last Sunday was our first formal meeting in a church building. Twenty people were present and there was a good response to the Word of God. Continue to pray that folks would continue to come and hear the Word preached.
Closure
We have a special memorial service planned for this weekend at one of the holes that was drilled to reach the miners. It will probably be hole #2 since that hole is still intact and the families will be able to drop mementos down the hole. Pray that God would continue to use all of these opportunities to break open the hearts of those who still do not know Him.
Last Family Meeting
Yesterday was the last family meeting offered by the mining company and the federal officials. We knew that the meeting would be difficult and it was. It was hard for families to accept the fact that they will not find the miners and that they will never be able to recuperate their bodies. Continue to pray that we will have the opportunity to witness and win these families to Christ.
