Counseling families of Crandal Canyon Mine disaster
Bob Murray, the owner of the Crandal Canyon Mine that collapsed last year called me up and said he had no one else to turn to for help with several families that are still struggling emotionally from that incident. He has asked me to counsel them. What an opportunity! Pray that God will use me in a special way to lead these people to the Lord and get their lives back on track. What a testimony this would be as they have tried Psycologists and just about everything else. It is serious though, one man has threatened to kill himself and another has already done so.
Attendance
In our weekly Sunday services in Price, at least one family has come each week. Pray that God will bring in all the families as we continue to meet each week.
Meetings
We have been traveling the past three weeks visiting churches and the Lord blessed our time away. In a missions conference in Wheatridge, CO, a teenage Hispanic American boy named José accepted the call to reach his own people! PTL! In Farmington, NM we witnesses to Hispanic business owners and were able to share the gospel with several and evaluate the need for a Hispanic ministry in that town.
Amanda is finishing up
Please pray for Amanda as she is finishing up her second year of Bible College. Pray for her during the next week or so during finals.
Aaron's new job & apartment
Aaron is now living in Salt Lake City working for Wells Fargo bank. We helped him move up there a week ago and he is doing well. Thanks for your prayers.
Moving away
Please pray that the people we are winning to the Lord would not move away. We have had family after family move away and it has become a discouraging factor for us. The mines here went through a big change after the collapse of Crandal Canyon and many workers have decided to move to Rock Springs, WY. We have lost a whole congregation to that town. There are mines up there that pay more and seem to be less dangerous. Pray that God would guide us as this area changes.
Conferences
Pray for the upcoming conferences that we have scheduled in New Mexico and Colorado. These provide opportunities for us to encourage churches to prayerfully consider reaching out to the Hispanic community that God has brought to their area. May God use us in a special way to help people develop a burden and love for this part of our population.
